Fukushima Promotes Safe Fukushima Milk for School Lunches

For your weekend entertainment, here's the promotional pamphlet by the Fukushima prefectural government telling the consumers it is so safe to drink Fukushima milk in school lunches. It uses the word "safe" so many times that many suspect they have something to hide, while others are simply scared of the cow in the pamphlet.

From Fukushima Prefecture's website:

On the second page, it brags that no radioactive materials have been detected in milk in Fukushima since April 25, 2011. In fine print, it says the detection limit is 5 becquerels/kg, but just above that line it also says "ND means the level is so low that the equipment cannot even measure". The equipment in Fukushima Prefecture may not be able to measure, but in other prefectures they have no problem measuring radioactive cesium in milk to one decimal point.

Remember in Fukushima that some school teachers excoriate students who are reluctant to drink milk in school lunches in front of the class, telling them they are "unpatriotic". I've heard similar anecdotal stories about wearing masks to school. Some teachers berate students wearing masks and order them to take the masks off. I'm sure it is just a baseless rumor. They wouldn't do such a thing, teachers, would they?

Dont know if in Japan parent sue the teachers and schools --but bet that theory is tested if children become sick and its traced to school milk and removal of masks. The masks..protect against particles in the lungs. Frankly what does it hurt for schools in Fukushima to use milk from other areas such as was done in Chernobyl? And to wear masks? They are asking for some terrible illnesses in the children if they "guess" wrong on radiation. It could be considered "manslaughter"..

What's with the 'Hitler' cow?

I think I must resort to vulgarity here and say this giving of Fukushima milk to kids is utterly FUCKED UP. Never have these two words been more aptly used to describe a situation, I believe.

"What's with the 'Hitler' cow?"

That's because it's all a Jesuit plot, remember.

The Powerz That Be sometimes drug other people's children, and sometimes make the kids drink milk from mutant cows. The moneymen seem to be future-eaters.

wow! the hair part, the mustache/ring, the eyes, and to top it off the gratuitous 'sig heil' posture... hard to believe that cow character isn't an intentional reference to the fuehrer. an appeal to the right wing? or a subversive jab at the Fuku government by a disgruntled artist? either that, or it's the work of a spectacularly inept and clueless designer.

And look at the cow's extra puny stature too!

I hope this is some smart aleck graphics guy doing a William Banzai(see Zero Hedge). I'll not hold my breath though.

I thought the milk industry in Japan was against testing? They protested public testing a while back.
Also, have school kids in Fukushima been instructed not to wear masks? (first poster's comments.)

Milk industry is against testing the final product, which is the blend of raw milk from several locations.

Little canary said,

this is a clear example of a war on the middle class for the japanese people.
Wealthy crew already evacuated knowing this kind of attitude will rise from teachers, governments etc...

In the eyes of the ellite, those who didnt evacuate and surrendered to stresed officials are as bad as them, simple as that.

Just curious. Are parents allowed to "home school" in Japan?
