A #Fukushima Woman Asks NISA Experts, "Are You Man Enough to Protect Women and Children?"

Tokyo Brown Tabby managed to set up another Youtube channel (here), and here's part of the description of the video Tabby sent me:

On January 18, 2012, Japan's Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (NISA) held a hearing to discuss with a committee of experts the results of the "stress test" for judging whether to restart Kansai Electric's Ooi Nuclear Power Plant. The hearing was supposed to be open to public, but at the last minute NISA decided to hold the meeting in a separate room without the audience. The angry audience, who were locked out in a room with a TV monitor, eventually rushed into the meeting room and made a protest.

In the middle of the confusion, an unidentified woman from Fukushima came out of the audience. This video clip shows part of the protest from the audience and the woman's poignant words.

The original video was taken by independent net-based OurPlanet-TV, so I hope there will be no worries about "copyright infringement" this time.

Tabby says "poignant". I'd say "strong". Because this slight, demure-looking woman from Fukushima is challenging the experts in front of her, asking, essentially, "Are you man enough to protect women and children?" No one answered her of course, they tried their best as if nothing was happening. Obviously, they were not man enough.

Almost identical words uttered by a young Egyptian woman may well have triggered the revolution in Egypt in January 2011, when she said "I am going to Tahrir Square on January 25. If you think yourself a man, come with me. Have some honor and manhood and come with me on January 25." We knew right afterwards that there were a lot of Egyptian men who were man enough to do that and much more.

These NISA "experts" have no backbone whatsoever and are part of the disease that is inherant in Japanese society and politics... nothing short of civil unrest will get rid of these useless fucks running the show in Japan....will the Japanese step up and act? sadly i think not..

This is a very powerful video and really hits home. Look at those pathetic men just sitting there silently and unable to look her in the eye. I would have beat the shit out of those cowards had I been there (internet tough guy, yeah).

Just a note to you all. Be sure to download all the videos that Tokyo Brown Tabby uploads. There is a great amount of information and it is almost a crime that youtube removes it.

For you Mac users out there I highly recommend this application "MacTubes" for downloading youtube videos:

http://macapps.sakura.ne.jp/mactubes/index_en.html

It is an English application for those seeing the "jp" URL. Japanese is also available though.

Most Japanese men are spineless cowardly robots (not all, but most) who can only follow orders.

It is the women of Japan who have the BALLS. Japanese women need to stand up and take control from these maniacs running the country. Excluding that bitch "Renho" of course.

To send comments directly to the DPJ, you can use the form at

I just sent them tabby's youtube link. If even one of the bastards looks at the video today, I will have accomplished something. Who can not be moved by this passionate woman's pleas?

Remind the DPJ of her. Remind them often. I'm sure those in the meeting have tried to put her out of their minds. But her message is worth repeating again and again.

Remind them.

"It's the women of Japan who have the men by the BALLS."
*fixed

Anyway, don't generalise. The real problem is common aspects of human society/behavior - denial of facts, single-mindedness, personal profit, redirecting blame, etc.

These problematic behaviors aren't specific to a particular gender, race or country. If you start labelling based on groups like those, people only focus on that instead of the real issues. We need to take the extra step and deal with the real problems behind those labels.

May the fires of justice and honor burn longer than that of greed.

Thank you, kinsman, for the link. This video is *not* going down the memory hole...

Time to stand up Japan or it is over. Thousands of years of a beautiful island and culture may become a wasteland. Take a stand now people of japan. Germany is doing it. Take to the streets women, men and children of Japan! Stop this insanity forever!

Anonymous said...

They wont stand up and the insanity will continue, call me cynical if you like but the japanese are very hard headed and are complacent, during the war they were warned by the US to surrender, after a nuke bombe they still didnt, then it took another nuke bomb for it to sink in..... it will take another meltdown in japan for the public to really wake up.... until then the madnes continues..

Those woman...... were word perfect .

Real women like that need to stand for office. They'd sweep the floor of useless jerks we have for politicians. What she said about money and greed was most pertinent. The sience from the panel of suits spoke volumes.
Japan needs to overturn the idiots in charge, step up to the new challenges that a nuclear free Japan means. To hell with the economy. It is broken beyond repair anyway.
The sad truth however is that it wont stop till the whole system crashes. Look at Greece.

How she used the honorific form of speech was brilliant. She was being polite but at the same time calling liars and crooks and all they could do is look down.

anonymous You are totally wrong about the Nukes dropped on Japan the Japanese had already agreed to surrender two weeks prior to the first Nuke being dropped and was dropped to Put FEAR into the whole world and what did they bomb two cities full of civilians with no industrial base.

Terry - You're talking out of your ass. There is no way Truman would have killed hundreds of thousands of people for the purposes you claim. Please don't spread such garbage conspiracy theories around. In any case, what could you possibly hope to accomplish with a statement like that? Saying such things hurts your own credibility and the credibility of any other causes you might be trying to support. Do you want to be an effective voice for social change? Then please think before you speak.

Chibaguy, Agree. she was a Japanese female tour de force. There was simply nothing for them to do exceptlook down at their (short) legs. She was a woman of the people. Imho thisis the kind of reaction the Japanese gov should fear most. And any aspiring politician out there should take note of.
Btw Chibaguy, if your nihongo is that good shouldnt you be relocating to Kyushu rather than back home? Just a thought..

"Put FEAR into the whole world and what did they bomb two cities full of civilians with no industrial base."

Yeah, wonder why the nukes did NOT target Tokyo ?. Huh Huh? Makes sense in sending the message.

Anonymous said...

Tokyo was firebird to smithereens and far more people died there. The nukes were for Russias benefit -stay outta Japan or else. The Yanks had a hard taste of fighting mutters in Okinawa. After losing many troops to a morally alien enemy, is it any surprise they choose nukes over more blood in a difficult land invasion?
Naggers bomb was meant for Kitakyushu anyhow.

This woman was allowed to talk for some time. If she had attempted this in the USA, she would have been approached by guards and forcefully escorted out of the room & possibly arrested for disrupting the meeting. If she resisted, she could have been tasered.

This is how Js deal with problems: pretend they don't exist. Look down at the floor and keep silent, and the problem will go away. Three monkeys- don't hear it, don't look at it, don't speak about it. Ergo, problem? What problem? Ah, time for lunch...
That poor woman is bashing her head against a brick wall. Put your hand up if you think she has a hope in hell of getting these unspeakable, yellow-bellied cowards to even notice she exists.
