OT: Japanese Women's Soccer Team Beat France to Advance to Final

Japan 2, France 1, at Wembley stadium. Japan will play either Canada or the United States on Thursday. (From AP.)

I hope the team get business class tickets on return, if not the first class.

Thank you for grammar pointers. I meant the word "beat" in the past tense.

Person who spells "noun" as "nounn" teaching grammar. Hilarious.

I guess if the Japanese women soccer team will get business class tickets for winning the gold medal, than the male team will get first class tickets for ... well they tried hard and it cant be that they fly in the same class as the women team. ;-)

To their credit, the men's team is said to have been extremely uncomfortable with the arrangement.

They will have their semi-final with Mexico on August 8.

Sincere congratulations to the Japanese Ladies ; they played a beautiful and "sports" soccer. Like you would see in men's teams 50 years ago. But since, men's soccer has become more and more tricky, violent - it is dangerous - and a run-for-money game. Instead of soccer, skilled sports-woman often chose other sports in the countries that experienced this sad transformation.
I would hope for a renewal, but would not bet it happens.
