(OT) Ancient Airs and Dances, Suite No.3 by Ottorino Respighi

Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Seiji Ozawa, excellent interpretation - lyrical but not overly dramatic, clean.

(I am playing this on Friday night (second violin, principal), and have been busy doing the rehearsals. Sorry I haven't been able to post much because of that.)

Wow I did not know you were a professional violinist. I don't know anything about music but my son plays in his school band so it heightens my appreciation that you are a pro. Good luck and enjoy.

Nice to hear this !
Good luck and great concert!
I had the fantastic opportunity to meet Seiji Ozawa during the rehearsal of Honegger's "Jeanne au bucher" at the Matsumoto festival, around 1994. I trained the Japanese chorus in French pronunciation then. Ozawa was so full of ernergy, so extraordinary ! It was really a marvelous privilege for me to be there. I'm so glad he is doing well now after his surgery.
All the best !
Thank you for everything you do for our community.

While I was playing Brahms (Hungarian Dance) in a small group the E-string on my violin decided to unwind in the middle of the piece. Since I'm no Perlman, I air-bowed the E-string notes.

Resphigi piece went extremely well, as it was before the E-string unwind...
