(#Libya) Libyan Opposition Sets Demands for Gaddafi's Exit

Mustafa Abdel Jalil, head of the opposition National Council in Benghazi told Al Jazeera Tuesday.

Their demands:

  • Gaddafi stop all combat in the fields;

  • He departs from Libya within 72 hours;

If Gaddafi complies with their demands, the National Council may waive their right of domestic prosecution.

Not sure if all Libyans agree.

Libya is not a signatory to the International Criminal Court.

The rumor still persists (and confirmed by the National Council) that Gaddafi sought to negotiate on Sunday with the opposition. Gaddafi was allegedly willing to step down (from what? he doesn't have any official position) as long as he gets to keep his money and there is no prosecution.
