TEPCO Chairman Surfaces, Apologizes over #Fukushima I Nuke Plant

Well, where has he been all this time? After 19 days?

Before he became the chairman of Tokyo Electric Power Company, Mr. Katsumata was the president of the company until he resigned in February 2008 over the Kashiwazaki Nuclear Power Plant accident.

Asahi Shinbun (3:47PM 3/30/2011) reports:

Tokyo Electric Power Company Chairman Tsunehisa Katsumata held a press conference in Tokyo on March 30, and offered his "apologies from the bottom of my [his] heart". As to the Reactors 1 through 4 at the plant, he said "Under the current circumstance, we will probably have to shut them down."
