#Fukushima I Nuke Plant Reactor 3 SFP (not SPF) Has At Least One Fuel Bundle Left, Near Water Surface

(I'm trying to be positive here.)

Arnie Gundersen commenting on Ian Goddard's discovery of a single fuel bundle in the Reactor 3 Spent Fuel Pool:

"Warrior" the vacuuming robot may not have been vacuuming just "sand and dust" after all.

Without indulging in denial of the dire nature of the situation, it is best to try to remain positive. Descending into hopeless despair is paralysis.

So long as we can act, we must. So long as we can try, we must. So long as we can hope, we must.

Thx for all your posts.

You get an idea of just how severe a crisis the Fukishima nuclear plant accident is when you watch the 3-mile Island story:

"#Fukushima I Nuke Plant Reactor 3 SPF"....

is probably a little higher than anything Coppertone offers.

seems like the japanese could go over the area around the plant with a metal detector / geiger counter and lay rest to any speculation. They should be able to scan a radius of a few miles in short order. This includes the beach / water. Cameras work underwater, so the above gear should be able to as well.
