It took TEPCO (most likely subcontractors, most likely Kajima and/or Hitachi) 3 months to finally remove the steel beam that had accidentally fallen into the Reactor 3 Spent Fuel Pool back in September.

This video shows the cooling water injection for SFP 3 in operation. Look at 4:19 to 4:31 at the upper left corner of the pool.
Anybody who can tell the function of the float in the lower left of the pool? Temperature/level measurement?
And, I really wonder how that equipment got there. Sadly Tepco didn't publish a video of that...
OT: And, there is some very funny thing regarding the IAEA visit on the plant at Dec. 18.
