This must be the "new normal", in which one crisis every few days makes a peaceful, easy week. We would only panic when we have more than 3 or 4 reported crises per day. If they are not reported by MSM, we don't care, do we?

Follow-Up on Ukraine: Not Swine Flu But Plague? Or Not?

What is striking Ukraine still remains a mystery.

On November 9, this blog reported on a deadly flu-like disease that seemed to appear out of nowhere in Ukraine in late October (see this post). At first, it was considered H1N1 swine flu or its mutated version. As the death toll rose, speculations as to what exactly was causing the death went wild: ebola, hemorrhagic fever, pneumonic plague.

There are two latest reports regarding this mystery disease in Ukraine, and they somewhat contradict each other.

The first one is the article that appeared in U.K.'s Daily Express:

MILLION HIT BY 'PLAGUE WORSE THAN SWINE FLU'

"A DEADLY plague could sweep across Europe, doctors fear, after an outbreak of a virus in Ukraine plunged the country and its neighbours into a state of panic.

"A cocktail of three flu viruses are reported to have mutated into a single pneumonic plague, which it is believed may be far more dangerous than swine flu. The death toll has reached 189 and more than 1 million people have been infected, most of them in the nine regions of Western Ukraine.

"President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko has called in the World Health Organisation and a team of nine specialists are carrying out tests in Kiev and Lviv to identify the virus. Samples have been sent to London for analysis.

"In a TV interview, the President [Yushchenko] added: “Unlike similar epidemics in other countries, three causes of serious viral infections came together simultaneously in Ukraine – two seasonal flus and the Californian flu."

What is "California flu"? I looked up but couldn't find it.

The article ends with the comment from a Ukrainian doctor:

"A doctor in Western Ukraine who did not want to be named, said:” We have carried out post mortems on two victims and found their lungs are as black as charcoal.

"“They look like they have been burned. It’s terrifying.”"

But here's the second article, this one from Prisonplanet.com. It is an interview with a coroner in Ukraine, who claims the virus is a mixture of H1N1 and parainfluenza, and it is definitely not pneumonic plague:

"Professor Victor Bachinsky, PhD., is a coroner in the Chernivtsi region of Ukraine. He provides evidence which indicates that parainfluenza mixed with the H1N1 virus, not pneumonic plague, has caused so much illness in Ukraine. Yet more strains of influenza which have combined, a strong indication that we are dealing with a laboratory developed bio-weapon."

"The Head of the Chernivtsi regional forensic bureau, Professor Victor Bachinsky PhD, makes a strong statement: all the victims of the virus in Bukovina (22 persons aged 20 to 40 years) died not from bilateral (double) pneumonia, as previously thought, but as a result of viral distress syndrome, i.e. the total destruction of the lungs. We caught up with Professor Bachinsky, to find out how he came to this conclusion, and how people can protect themselves from this disease."

Dr. Bachinsky says the lungs of the victims are not black, and that this is definitely not pneumonic plague. If it were the pneumonic plague and if they had 60,000 people infected, they would have "a mortality rate of 59 thousand", he adds.

He goes on to explain the progression of the disease that's infecting Ukrainians:

"This is a viral attack that destroys the lungs.

"It’s not pneumonia! This destruction of the lungs. This strain is very toxic, and if the immune system is weak, there is bleeding in the lungs. In the lungs there is a tiny structure – acinus, which looks like a bunch of grapes. When you breathe, oxygen enters this tiny “bunch of grapes” ( pulmonary alveoli ). On the surface of the acinus are the capillaries, where red blood cells saturate with oxygen and give blood, which supplies all tissues and organs in the body.

"And once the virus enters the lungs – hemorrhaging begins immediately in the acinus. A continuous hemorrhage … It takes several hours. In the blood fibrin is formed, and from it – giolinovaya membrane, resembling a plastic bag. It envelops the acinus, and the person breathes in oxygen, but it is not transferred to the tissues. And people just gasp. There is a cardio-pulmonary insufficiency and cardiogenic shock. People die of cardiogenic shock. And there is no pneumonia. Pneumonia – an inflammation, which is treated with antibiotics. Antibiotics cannot help at any stage. There should be absolutely different treatment."

So people basically suffocate, because the oxygen is not being delivered to the tissues. That then triggers cardio-shock. What a nasty way to die.

The doctor ascribe part of the problem to the weakened immune systems of Ukrainians due to the overuse of antibiotics in Ukraine, which anyone can obtain at local pharmacies without prescriptions.

"The primary method of prevention is a face mask. This give 30% extra protection. If you wear glasses – it is 40%, because the virus enters through the mucous membranes.

"It is necessary to improve the human immune system. Not only now, but in general. Garlic, onions, wild rose, viburnum (guelder rose), raspberries, citrus fruit, honey, and other fruits and vegetables – whatever you want. Those with a strong immune system will survive. Those with weaker immune systems will succumb to the disease."

When asked why the Health Ministry hasn't figure it out, he has this to say:

"Perhaps this is due to the fact that there are scientists who are working on a purely theoretical basis. And there are scientists who have seen the autopsy results. I practice as head of the regional forensic bureau and as a professor. The fact that we have established this diagnosis – it is not just to my credit, and this is not my personal opinion. This is the opinion of specialists, morphologists and doctors in Bukovina. There are five professors in our group – I just head the group."

Japan's First Reported Death after H1N1 Vaccination

A man in his 70s died in Toyama Prefecture in Japan one day after getting the H1N1 flu vaccine. Authorities deny there's any correlation, saying the man had pre-existing medical conditions.

Hmmm. Excuse me, but the whole point of getting the vaccine, according to the government, was to protect vulnerable people like him who had pre-existing medical conditions, wasn't it? Instead of protecting people like him, the vaccine may instead have triggered acute adverse reaction that killed the man.

According to Kitanippon Shinbun (the original is in Japanese, published on 11/14/09), the man had had pulmonary emphysema. He received the vaccine on November 11. He didn't show any sign of adverse effect from the vaccine on that day, but the next evening his family found him dead. The autopsy revealed that he had suffered from acute respiratory failure.

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare is insisting it has nothing to do with the vaccine. Right.

The vaccine he received was manufactured in Japan by a Japanese company.

Unlike Americans, Japanese people seem to believe just about everything they are told about H1N1 by their government, and are eagerly rolling up their sleeves to get the flu vaccine with mercury (among other things, and yes, even the Japanese-made vaccine contains mercury) in it - pregnant women, babies, toddlers, school kids, all the way up to seniors like this man who died right after he got the shot, and they seem to be very grateful they got the shot.

After all these years, almost blind trust for the government still exists in that nation of the rising sun. I'd rather join Serbians and chew on a raw garlic.

Price of Garlic Skyrockets in Serbia

.. they have long memory in that corner of the Balkans.

Serbians are snapping up garlic for flu prevention, over vaccines that their government recommends.

"BELGRADE, Serbia — Belgrade's open-air markets were a welter of busy customers on Friday, pushing and shoving to buy one item — garlic.

"In Serbia, garlic has long been regarded as a good luck charm and a guard against many ailments. As far as the public is concerned, that includes the swine flu pandemic, which recently has spread in Serbia and triggered near panic among the local population.

"That is now evident in Belgrade's produce markets, where the price of garlic has shot up, thanks to a sudden increase in demand. The smell of the little white cloves also has become prevalent in public places as people munch on them as if eating apples.

""Garlic is the best, forget the vaccines," said Marko Jankovic, an elderly Belgrader, with the pungent smell of garlic obvious as he spoke at the crowded Kaleniceva Pijaca market. "From the vaccine, you can get sick. From garlic, you can only get bad breath."" [emphasis is mine]

Haha that's funny. And good for the old man.

As the article points out, garlic has been used around the world for centuries for treatment and prevention of medical conditions, from indigestion to cold to hypertension and cancer. (For more, check out this article from Life Extension.)

Roman legions carried garlic cloves with them, and quickly planted more garlic in lands they conquered. Dioscorides, the chief medical officer in the Roman army during the 1st century AD, treated infected soldiers with garlic. (from "How to Win the War" by Bill Sardi)

Serbian officials and doctors are not too happy about the populace gobbling up garlic, instead of their recommendations of washing hands, wearing masks, getting vaccinated, and getting pharmaceutical treatment. The AP article ends with this observation:

"But in Serbia, doctors are telling the public to stop considering it as a swine flu defense.

""People must take this pandemic more seriously and focus on real prevention and medicine," not garlic, said Zoran Djordjevic, a virology doctor at a Belgrade hospital.""

It must be like telling people that the sun rises from the west. People in Serbia are taking it very seriously, I think, and are going for the century-old, proven (to them anyway if not to the medical authority there) method, without known side effect (other than bad breath), to fight it.

Inflation Is Already Here With Us

Many of us are now quite familiar with a highly inflated number of jobs "created or saved" by the administration's stimulus package. Boston Globe did a review of the cases in Massachusetts where "Organizations that received stimulus money miscounted jobs, filed erroneous figures, or claimed jobs for work that has not yet started."

If you would like to refresh your memory where the stimulus money (your tax money) is going (down the drain), here's my post from July 2009 "Will Stimulus Money Create Jobs As Biden Says?"(We know the answer, don't we?) It has a list of "projects" to be funded by the stimulus.

Not to be outdone, now CDC says more than 4,000 people have died from H1N1 "swine" flu. That's almost quadruple the number that they have been saying (1,200). What's going on?

Well, not really, but you see, CDC has decided to count all the deaths that may have been related to H1N1 flu, such as pneumonia and bacterial infections, organ failure, cancer, heart attacks, etc. (basically anything that they can remotely connect to flu). Compared to "regular" flu of last year and year before, not enough people have died of this "pandemic" to justify force-vaccinating a middle-schooler with the help from two armed guards. (See my previous post, and please protect your children, don't run away.)

CDC also says "many millions" of Americans have been infected with H1N1. How do they know? They don't. The test to find out whether one has H1N1 flu apparently gives so many false positives and false negatives that it is practically worthless, and besides CDC stopped counting the flu cases back in July. They are just throwing big enough numbers, "many millions". This is from CBS news, which by the way has a very good investigative report on H1N1:

"In late July, the CDC abruptly advised states to stop testing for H1N1
flu, and stopped counting individual cases. The rationale given for the CDC guidance to forego testing and tracking individual cases was: why waste resources testing for H1N1 flu when the government has already confirmed there's an epidemic?"

I found one deflationary number coming from the government: number of Americans without health insurance. When they started hyping this health care "reform" (deform) way back when, the number of Americans without health insurance was over 50 million. As time went by, the number went from 50 million to 46 million, then 40 million, then 35 million, and that's about where it stands "officially" now.

However, eliminating people on temporary insurance between jobs (Cobra), people who don't want insurance and pay out of their own pockets, people who already have access to government program (Medicaid) or free programs and don't need insurance, and eliminating illegal immigrants, the estimates have been done to show there may be less than 10 million people (3% of the U.S. population) who cannot afford health insurance. (Here's an article on this topic that appeared in Lewrockwell.com in July. There are others.)

So, it may well be that the U.S. taxpayers are being asked by their government to fork out $1.05 trillion (minimum, I am afraid) to cover less than 10 million people. $105,000 per person. That's about the level of "bang for the buck" a la the federal government.

But it took two tax-fed heroes to pin down the resistant child in order for the injection to take place.

"“He tried to run,” recalled Howard Gamble, Administrator of the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Board. “I looked over and saw two Sheriff’s deputies holding him down.” The sight of a terrified child being restrained by two armed full-grown “men” didn’t disturb Gamble’s servile serenity.

"“For the most part they go easy,” he commented during a November 10 Health Board meeting. “As far as the shots, every once in a while you have to hold down one or two — but that’s why mom is there or dad is there.”

"Of course, he didn’t mean to suggest that parents are there to defend their children from such assaults; rather, he meant that it’s useful to have a parent handy to coax his child into submitting to a government-mandated violation of his bodily integrity.

"The mother of the brutalized child described above actually fled the scene rather than witnessing the abuse — or doing anything to stop it."

Parents, DEFEND YOUR CHILDREN. Don't run away like this mother did.

Something Deadly Is Afoot in Ukraine

They are not even sure if it is H1N1 influenza.

And very peculiar, too. Up until October 29, Ukraine had only few cases of H1N1 "swine" flu. Then, almost out of nowhere, the cases with severe flu-like symptoms exploded into nearly 1 million (Ukraine's population is about 46 million), doubling in numbers in 2 days along the way.

What's strange also is the number of deaths attributable to H1N1 flu. Of 155 deaths in Ukraine so far, only 14 were confirmed as resulting from H1N1. What of the rest? What are people dying from?

Speculation ranges from suddenly mutated H1N1, Ebola, hemorrhagic fever, to pneumonic plague.

And this from Bill Sardi at Lewrockwell.com today suggests synthetic virus does the job like the real one:

"The synthesis of flu viruses became more than a possibility in 1999 when researchers demonstrated it was possible to overcome the previously insurmountable problem of arranging eight segments of RNA. This was accomplished by generation of RNA using an enzyme, RNA polymerase, essentially creating a cloned flu virus."

What's in Glaxo's H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccine?

A list of components of GlaxoSmithKline H1N1 vaccine is making the rounds on the Internet, which seems to have originated at the blog "Case About Bird Flu". The original article is actually about Glaxo's H5N1 bird flu vaccine Prepandrix, but it has been disseminated as about H1N1 swine flu vaccine.

Before dismissing it as disinformation or hoax (the original article is neither, as it is talking about bird flu vaccine), let's take a look at the ingredients OTHER THAN FLU VIRUS itself. Glaxo may use the same or similar ingredients to create H1N1 vaccine that they used in H5N1 vaccine.

GlaxoSmithKline's press release says the H1N1 flu vaccine will use Glaxo's proprietary AS03 adjuvant system. Adjuvant formulation is used in order to boost higher immune response when using a smaller amount of antigen (i.e. H1N1 virus). This is important for drug companies like Glaxo and the governments who want to prepare a large number of doses as quickly as possible. Glaxo's press release describes the benefit as follows: "The vaccine containing the adjuvant system therefore helps to substantially increase the number of vaccine doses that can be provided for mass vaccination."

It goes on to say that the same adjuvant system AS03 is used in H5N1 pre-pandemic and pandemic bird flu vaccine, and shown to have "an acceptable safety and reactogenicity [capacity to cause adverse reaction] profile". Emphasis is mine. Note the word "acceptable".

So, it may still be useful to look at the ingredients of Glaxo bird flu vaccine to guess what may be in their swine flu vaccine. We know now for sure that AS03 adjuvant system is used. Let's start with AS03.

AS03: (Aka. "Adjuvant System 03") is a trade name for a Squalene based Immunologic adjuvant used in various vaccine product by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). It may also be used in the A/H1N1 pandemic flu vaccine. (wikipedia.org)

So now, what is Squalene?

According to Dr. Russell Blaylock [emphasis is mine];

"Novartis, the second contender, also has an agreement with WHO for a pandemic vaccine. Novartis appears to have won the contract, since their vaccine is near completion. What is terrifying is that these pandemic vaccines contain ingredients, called immune adjuvants that a number of studies have shown cause devastating autoimmune disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis and lupus.

"Animal studies using this adjuvant have found them to be deadly. A study using 14 guinea pigs found that when they were injected with the special adjuvant, only one animal survived. A repeat of the study found the same deadly outcome.

"So, what is this deadly ingredient? It is called squalene, a type of oil. The Chiron company, maker of the deadly anthrax vaccine, makes an adjuvant called MF-59 which contains an ingredient of serious concern--squalene. A number of studies have shown that squalene can trigger all of the above-mentioned autoimmune diseases when injected."

Squalene's property to stimulate and boost immune reaction, the very reason why it is used as adjuvant, is the problem itself, it seems:

"Because squalene, the main ingredient in MF-59, can induce hyperimmune responses and induce autoimmunity, a real danger exists for prolonged activation of the brain’s immune cells, the microglia. This type of prolonged activation has been strongly associated with such diseases as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, ALS and possibly vaccine-related encephalitis. It has been shown that activation of the systemic immune system, as occurs with vaccination, rapidly activates the brain’s microglia at the same time, and this brain inflammation can persist for long periods."

The danger is the prolonged brain inflammation caused by activation of brain's immune cells by squalene. In other words, your immune system may go overdrive and start attacking your own body due to artificially heightened stimulation by squalene.

Novartis's adjuvant MF59, Sanofi-Pasteur's AF03 are also squalene-based.

The rest of the ingredients for Glaxo's H5N1 bird flu vaccine, as listed in "Case About Bird Flu" blog, are as follows. Ingredients with possible adverse effects are in green:

alpha-tocopherol (a type of vitamin E)
aluminum adjuvant
disodium phosphate: food additive
formaldehyde
magnesium chloride
octoxynol 10: detergent
polysorbate 80 (Tween 80): food additive; part of AS03 adjuvant system
potassium chloride: it is used in executions by lethal injection.
