#Fukushima I Nuke Plant: Amount of Radioactive Materials in Water Sample from Outside the In-The-Ground Water Storage Pond No.1 Rose by 10

Cause unknown, according to TEPCO.

No surprise there.

From Jiji Tsushin (4/28/2013):

土壌の放射能濃度10倍に=1号貯水槽、2日前と比べ-福島第1

Fukushima I Nuke Plant: amount of radioactive materials in the soil [outside] the in-the-ground water storage pond No.1 10 times larger, compared to two days ago

Regarding the leak of radioactive waste water from the in-the-ground water storage ponds at Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant, TEPCO announced on April 28 that the amount of radioactive materials in the water sample taken from the soil outside the Pond No.1 on April 27 was more than 10 times the amount from two days prior. There are two sampling locations outside the pond, and the location that saw the increase this time had had low amount of radioactive materials. TEPCO says "We don't know the cause. We will continue to watch carefully."

According to TEPCO, it was [the water from] the soil on the southwest side of the Pond No.1 that saw the increase in radioactive materials. 1.1 Bq/milliliter (cubic centimeter) of beta nuclides including radioactive strontium was detected from the water taken from there on April 27. From the same location, it was below detection level on April 26, and 0.099 Bq/milliliter on April 25.

TEPCO's handout for the press on 4/27/2013, showing 1.1 Bq/cm3 of beta nuclides (red rectangle):

Measurement on 4/28/2013 of the same location shows the amount dropped down to 0.074 Bq/cm3 and 0.048 Bq/cm3 (they measured twice, the second time only beta nuclides):

In the meantime, Fukushima Prefecture sent in a group of officials and experts to the plant on April 24 to observe the in-the-ground storage ponds firsthand. They said they were appalled at what they saw. One of the experts, Professor Susumu Nakamura of Nippon University (seismic engineering) said, according to Mainichi Shinbun, "Amateurs. If it were at least 50 to 100 centimeter-thick, the leak of highly radioactive waste water may have been prevented."

Oh but that would cost too much, in a nation whose central bank prints 7 trillion yen (about US$70 billion, at least the conversion calculation is getting easier by the day) each month out of thin air to buy up JGBs from financial institutions to create inflation.

And this thin blue hose is what is transporting extremely contaminated waste water from the Pond No.1 to the metal storage tank(s) (TEPCO will use two, one tank meant for filtered water, and another in the H2 area):

Japan is printing to put money in a pant's pocket that has a hole in it. The hole represents debt. Inflation will only take place after the initial outstanding debt is satisfied or equaled, even then without a fix for reoccurring debt in the future, you will never get true inflation (like hyperinflation). Probably end up higher price inflation with shelf goods while continuing debt loads weigh down hard assets values like real estate...Have to fill-in the debt hole first, unfortunately it is a bottomless pit on a worldwide scale.

Fukushima is the same. Vast areas of local earth to contaminate that will continue with rising background radiation levels until the land become absolutely worthless.

Inflation and worthlessness at the same time.

Russia had/has the same problem with Chernobyl, costs unmanageable with no profit other than returning to square one in a couple hundred years. Cleanup funding now borne by the whole world including any fallout.

Japan like all the other nations is a puppet on a string dancing to the same money masters that hand delivered the Einstein-Tzeilard letter to Roosevelt in 1939. Japan can no more step out of line and throw off its attachments than the US, Germany, Libya, or any other state crushed by the global order. This is a global order based on the second law of Deuteronomy and not on anything rational and humane such as natural law, freedom, integrity, honesty, fairness or morality. Only by realizing the satanic nature of the ruling tribal mafia that invented nuclear weapons and harnessed fission for the express purpose of killing large portions of humanity, can the average citizen have a chance at ending the reign of terror imposed by the top of the pyramid. First realize whence comes this destruction you are suffering. The falseflags and phony wars will continue, the nuclear industry will be propped up at the expense of everyone, the lies will continue in the bought and sold media, and the confusion, mind control and helplessness will go on. To ever have a chance to stop them at their murder and enslavement, it will require more than just a handful of us on the internet who have woken up and it will take whatever brilliance the great mass of uninvolved, unconscious people out there who have not woken up yet can bring to the situation.
I have known Japan was doomed since at least 2004 when Leuren Moret predicted geotectonic meltdown in the Japan Times, and others have known from before that. Now it can't be ignored any longer.
Kudos to Ultraman for helping wake people up.

Anonymous, unfortunately I agree with you about the root and historical cause of the nuclear fission debacle unfolding in Japan. Abe is nothing but a puppet, sadly with a sizeable political constituency. He is somewhate supported despite only imagining the same old failed ideas that brought Japan to its present perilous situation, where the meltdown of even one reactor west of Tokyo would be the end of the criminal siege begun by Tepco Daiichi when they bullshitted people in the beginning.
Nuclear power is the most expensive form of energy so it makes no sense to push during austerity and decline when only the best ideas can be afforded, or the society will fail in trophic collapse. Give us all a break from this fiscal and biological insanity, Mr. Abe. Radiation makes everyone a slave to disease and mutation. I would not wish the kids of Chernobyl Heart documentary on anyone. How much heartbreak is Japan prepared to wind up with, now that the pattern of failure is very well known in Fukushima at least.

Every global NPP is at great risk and has no safeguards. Earthquakes are not even the number one hazard even in Japan. Global nuclear power systems are intentionally dependent on grid energy. That is how they were designed, and yall called these people geniuses. Backup generators do not keep NPP's adequately cooled even when they run. Without a grid, how long do you think fuel supplies would reach an NPP?

The designer builders foisted this junk on humanity worldwide. The current phony theatre with Iran is just more kabuki to cover up the crime against humanity of all the players and method actors who have been splitting the atom and releasing so much harm into the planet. How we the people would love to see them behind bars, instead of sitting on the barstools bullshitting everyone with their crap.

it used to be after all the costs were tallied up that the net gain was 2 per cent for profit
and energy efficiency now its total minus
whatever.Germany got smart they quit building more and now are generating 22 gigawatts average solar voltaic thats 50 percent of their national needs and that equals 11 nuclear plants....DUH

I know how to nullify nuclear contamination and have direct access to the technology to do so. Given sufficient capital, the inventor I am associated with can locally and even globally position simple passive devices that stabilize surrounding out of balance atoms so as to cease emitting deadly rays by remotely balancing their ionization and thereby eliminating internal particle collisions. The science behind this development is called plasmonics. Plasmons are essentially undifferentiated particles of pure electrical energy that can adopt appropriate spin based on need to serve as atomic stem cells that can heal damaged and unbalanced nuclides. With sufficient coverage the whole world can be rid of the insane nuclear menace that threatens all life. For more information on this world saving opportunity please see tentenths.biz. Cowards and toadies need not bother. We need authentic peaceful warriors! If you are sincere please contact me at pahldixon@yahoo.com. Cheers M8s!

"nullify nuclear contamination...stabilise out of balance atoms...balancing their ionisation...plasmonics...'pure' electrical energy...atomic stem cells..."

I could not stop laughing, thought this is a nice satire, until I had a look at your web site. Now I'm very worried that actually a few people will buy your assortments of hot air and snake oil. This is criminal. You deserve a place behind bars right next to the nuke pukes.

I agree.

Thank you LaPrimavera for pointing at this subtle, but revealing detail!

This leaves more questions open than it answers.
I feel tempted to find the comments on this article somewhat distracting, leading to even Pahl Dixon advertising his "supplement".
Somehow I even feel tempted to think that these people offering "magical cures" for radiation poisonong are some special sort of nuclear shills.

Back to topic.
They are talking about "water samples" taken from the (surface?) soil. What water is this? Rain? And what water was it if the day was dry?

Then, one has to consider what happens when some leaked water dries out at the soil surface.
One liter of dried-out leaked water leaves 290 millions of Becquerels (beta) as extremely fine dust.

This gets spread and diluted via many ways: feet of workers, wind, rain.
Thus, after a sunny dry day, the radiation might spike, and next day, after a good rain shower, might look "good" again.

I really hope they'll grout the surface of these "reservoirs" after emptying them to prevent the contamination spread by wind and rain. These "reservoirs" start to remind me of Lake Karachay in some way.

Pahl's supplements are just a "superfood" or "mega nutrition" including algae. Nothing magical about that. Lots of supplement companys are getting on the "superfood" bandwagon because it's become popularized by certain crafty pseudo raw foodists. I'd have to see acurate studies on what the stuff can do to prevent radiation sickness otherwise the claims are garbage. Superfoods grow everywhere---in my neck of the woods it's blueberries and hempseed. Find yours.
