OT: President Obama Seen Chewing Gum Constantly in the ASEAN Meeting in Bali, Indonesia

The ASEAN meeting in Bali, Indonesia is being covered widely in Japan, as the Noda administration has expressed its extreme willingness to join the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) pushed by the US administration. The TPP is a regional so-called "free-trade" agreement whose ultimate purpose seems to be the isolation of China in the region.

Watching the TV coverage of the ASEAN meeting, some Japanese are surprised to see what they perceive as "bad manners" by President Obama - chewing gum constantly, even in front of the cameras and during the face-to-face meeting with the Chinese premier. Crossing legs is not looked on very well either.

You can view President Obama chewing gum at ASEAN meeting at NHK News (11/19/2011). Click on the screen on the left side for the video.

It must be the nicotine gum, I assume. And no one in his entourage to caution the president.

At the same time, it may all be in perspective. Which one would the Japanese prefer,

  • A US president who puked on the laps of a Japanese prime minister in a state banquet (Papa Bush and PM Miyazawa); or

  • A US president who decided to drop nuclear bombs on Japan in short succession back in 1945; or

  • A US company selling nuclear reactors which spectacularly failed 40 years later; or

  • A US president who chews gum in an international conference?

That had to be one of the best public spectacles ever.
Just couldn't contain himself.

Hehehe, that is funny. The Bush war criminal family can be really endearing sometimes.

Now, before I forget -- given that I think and talk about Iraq so frequently, I actually liked your east-of-Iraq comment about the dragons.

In my part of the world, there isn't just Siegfried/Sigurd (which is mostly for Wagner lovers and students of Germanic lore anyway). The Orthodox Christian (as in Byzantine) branch of my family used to celebrate Saint George as our family saint. I like Saint George, even have a small icon somewhere, but I also sometimes enjoy imagining myself as a dragon against my enemies.

So perhaps there is a gradual shading of dragons, culturally, from purely evil into potentially good and noble the further you go east. The big question is how dragons were historically viewed in India, especially in the period when they had a lot of interactions with China.

There is a nice book I bought a while ago, called "Dragons, East and West" by Qiguang Zhao.

Having said all that, maybe you should consider leaving, because the bad nuclear dragon has not stopped breathing fire yet.

Hah, the US president who puked in the lap of a Japanese prime minister at a state banquet, of course. It was an artful subliminal message aimed at world viewers, illustrating what the president really thought of the hyperarchy that was feeding him.

Wow. That is tacky. You would think he would know better to begin with, but why DID nobody on his staff warn him?

*** Which one would the Japanese prefer ***

How about George W. Bush trying to give a neck rub to Germany's first female Chancellor, Angela Merkel, at the G8 summit in 2006?

All the Japanese I know seem to have a thing for neck and back rubs. I think they must have approved.

ho about the jap bastards that bombed pearl harbor killing thousands of americans....chew on that.

How about reframing the hypothetical argument to reflect another view of reality...? Are the Japanese more miffed at...
1. Japanese being used & betrayed by the Rothschild Zionists in Britain & Germany for being enticed into invading Chinese Mainland in exchange for a slice of the NWO pie... only to be nuked twice by the Merkins & having the OSS/CIA scoop up all the Chinese gold & jewels buried in the Philippines...?
2. Japan being allowed into the prestigious Trilateral Commission founded by Rockefeller & Brezyzinski only to be implicated in the TLC's collaboration with communist countries for a Globalist hegemony...?
3. or, Japan being targeted by Tesla/ ELF/ HAARP technology to cause the earthquake/ tsunami that hit Japan, and caused the nuclear disaster?

Anonymous said...

Good God. Posters are dragging this site even lower. I'm not sure the author of this blog appreciates the gratuitous reference to "jap bastards" and Pearl Harbor (since the author is Japanese-American).

Regarding the HAARP nonsense; utter crap and more ridiculous than any of the claims that Japan is now uninhabitable.

@anon at 7:05PM, thank you. I have a family member who survived one night in Tokyo where 100K civilians perished in a bombing run by LeMay, using cluster incendiary bombs.

I am weighing whether to 1) shut down the comment section entirely; 2) restrict it by not allowing anonymous posting; or 3) spending extra time removing utterly irrelevant posts. I haven't decided.

"3. or, Japan being targeted by Tesla/ ELF/ HAARP technology to cause the earthquake/ tsunami that hit Japan, and caused the nuclear disaster?"

It couldn't just be because Japan is situated in the Ring of Fire subduction zone which is one of the most seismically active regions in the world. Nah, that's too simple an explanation. All previous historical earthquakes and tsunami should also be dismissed and let's also ignore that every Japanese person was brought up expecting and experiencing earthquakes.

Yes, HAARP-- the genius Tesla technology requiring great skill and care yet run by people in governments who many times are not even able to organize their way out of a paper bag, let alone a major oil spill or blown nuclear reactors.

" 3) spending extra time removing utterly irrelevant posts. I haven't decided."

Just an idea...how about nuking any comment that has the word Jesuit, HAARP, papal, and Stalin in its content. That should fix most of the problem.

Anonymous said...

I would have to say, "none of the above."

Anonymous said...

arevamirpal::laprimavera I have sympathy towards the excessive bombings as my father had to carry them out in Europe & it really hurt him + the starvation at the end of WWII was very questionable action.
There are a # of good comments posted, so if you probably have to do 3), but it's your game here.

The real story of the daddy Bush puke incident was a comment about Daddy Bush saved moments before he was nearly captured to be eaten by starving Japanese soldiers during WW11.

He knew his fate that day.

He was jokingly reminded of his fate on the now infamous puke night. Watch the comment make to him just before he pukes on the Japanese PM. The reminder comment is made. He cringes and pukes.

Areva, if you choose #2, you may as well implement #1 because no one will post anyway. I, too, hope you will choose "none of the above".

The few nutty people here and there are quite harmless except for perhaps the website spammer, who is annoying as H-E-L-L. Just my opinion for what it is worth.

Ditch the Anonymous, please. The material available on how HAARP technology works is sufficient to place it within the realm of distinct possibility of THE precipitate for the 'quake'. More reasonable is a nuke placed at a sensitive spot in the fault and bombarded with subsonic waves comncurrent with the nuke blast. Like a subwoofer moving a brick down a sloped sand covered board with a cherry bomb to start movement. The USGS monitoring and Japanese monitoring do not indicate a single major quake. The whirlpool is suspicious. The sound device is an extremely high-powered oil field dousing technology. Please dump the rude Anonymous and have comments do homework before knuckle-dragging and name calling. They have had enough time to get serious and study.

I have searched for the Bushiro. All sources have deleted the magic moment. I saw it once. Major lol. Seems the wise Prime Minister refused to import Detroit junk huge cars that break often and Bush ran out of ideas. Except one.
I studied Japanese history and the Pearl Harbor incident in great detail at the University of Washington and independently. Documents and memos prove the White House knew the Japanese fleet was close and knew the codes and was listening and PBYs watched the carriers launch. The Pearl Harbor base commander was not warned.
More recently, the White House perverts did 9-11 without warning. Israel helped. The same cabal signed off on the design, siting and commissioning of Fukushima. New York zionists also took part in facilitating the looting of insurance funds. Damn crooks.

"The USGS monitoring and Japanese monitoring do not indicate a single major quake."

Wow, you are as batshit crazy as the Finnish troll. Is that even possible? Maybe you are the Finnish troll.

USGS monitoring did/do not indicate a single major quake?? I look at their monitoring EVERY DAY because of my job, and, yes, damn it, it was registered.

Mochiron! This is very sensible and balanced, just like reading something from FOX news or The Daily Yomiuri. Even though we Japanese get an average of about 1500 earthquakes per year, every year, I must thank you gaijin for solving this big earthquake mystery for us.

No , leave the posts by the obviously bigoted and insane as they are. Those posts of the HAARP silliness and WW2 stupidity on ALL sides are so obviously delusional it is not worth your time bothering to delete them. I think 99% of the readers just scroll past them thinking there goes another internet bonehead.

And good work on the site ... much useful information is presented here by you.

Leave the posts please, I love reading your articles. The majority of the comments are ok. The earthquake could have been GOD or TPTB, we may never know. The facts are radiation is poisoning our entire world, and we are on the eve of destruction so to speak. The world needs to WAKE UP, and take stock of what you have. BE PREPARED, because NO MAN knows what is going to happen.

That's probably a Nicorette gum piece. Who cares? I don't like the Commie Chinese government so good for Obie to blatantly (intentionally??) disrespect them in front of one of their leaders; they disrespect their own people as a rule of their own twisted law. And crossing of the legs is Western and common. If they don't like it, who gives a damn--I don't.

So they detect ionospheric heating above large quakes, before the quake. The energy released in a quake is only a fraction of the energy involved in the crust's movement.
Stressed rock generates electrical currents.

Placing the cart before the donkey with weak-assed heating of the ionosphere by a submarine communication system is signs of attempted skullf-cking.
End of discussion.

The point, that these behaviors are informal, stands well on it's own -- without a menagerie of bloggers to have emotional breakdowns on this subject.

No matter how hard his enablers try to divert your attention away from him, they are well aware of who is the figurehead. It is a collective dishonor.

Anonymous said...

The way he sits? Really? Do you have nothing better to do with your life? What pointless garbage this is.

Anonymous said...

You can grab a bum off the street, give him a shave and a haircut and a $3,000 suit, but his behavior won't change no matter where you take him. Citizens of the former U.S. of A. are regularly treated to the slovenly antics of their president as he and his entourage shuck and jive their way around the globe. The personal history of Obama, the man with no past, has been argued over for years. However, there is no argument over the fact that he never learned proper deportment. This just reinforces the old stereotype of the 'ugly American'.

I enjoy the usual brevity and usefulness of most comments. This one has been exceptional. If all articles become infested with trolls and nut jobs, though, then I would ask that Our Hero delete them until they stop. I dread Ex-SKF circling the drain downward like Huffington Post has become.

Excellent retorts, but I don't want to have to wade through them every time.

Anonymous said...

LOL Your Obama is such a bleeding kaffir. I feel so embarrassed for you Yanks.

Anonymous said...

Darth hit the nail on the head. In general, the comment section is good, can provide more detail, balance, or can give people a chance to vent the opposite opinion. Unfortunately, if the comments section becomes the playground for the delusional, or if it becomes (as this current one has) a free-for-all for people with wacky, race or religious based paranoia, your readership starts to fall off because those who don't share that bent will stop coming.
But, knowing that a lot of people are come here directly from Rense, I know you could well face the opposite problem - if you don't push the same global conspiracy agenda that Rense does, the readers who visit from Rense will see you as being co-opted by the illuminati, or some other nonsense.
How about requiring everyone to create a unique profile? It will stop people from posting as "anonymous" and will make it slightly easier to ban certain people. If they want to create a new account every time they get banned they can do it, but it starts to become a pain.
